Bethel Heights, located atop an old volcano in The Eola Hills AVA, was one of the pioneer wineries of this region. A family enterprise, the winery is blending nicely with two generations working side by side.
The vineyards comprise 70 acres, mostly Pinot noir, with Chardonnay running a strong second and a minority commitment to Pinot blanc and Pinot gris. The backbone of the production comes from the original blocks of own-rooted vines planted 30 years ago.
The winery is (LIVE) Low Input Viticulture and Enology Certified as well as certified Salmon Safe. Within the winery, the tasting room is perched above the vineyard with a view of the sourounding countryside. A great spot to pause for a bit, swirl and enjoy.
