Cliff Creek Cellars and Sams Valley Vineyard are located in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon. Their first vines were planted in 1999 and now have approximately 70 acres in vineyard. The vineyard's soil is a strain of Crater Lake volcanic ash. The vineyard was planted on the Old McDonough Farm that had been farmed over 100 years. The farm was traditionally a hay and beef ranch and was bought by the Garvin's in the mid 80's.
All the wines made at Cliff Creek Cellars are estate grown. They specialize in the Bordeaux varietals and Syrah. Grapes grown are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Claret, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese.
