Redman Vineyard and Winery Description
In 2004 the Redman’s purchased 30 acres on Ribbon Ridge, planting 22 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Arneis. 2005 was Redman Wines first vintage, sourced from nearby vineyards.
The soil of the vineyard is predominately Willakenzie, with an elevation of 450 to 550 feet. The land has a gentle southern slope, allowing maximum southern exposure, warm days, cool evenings and a coastal breeze.
Redman Vineyard is Low Input Viticulture and Enology Certified and has received the right to use the salmon-safe logo on the commercial label for certified grapes
A gem in the valley s2mcmann, Lake Oswego We stumbled onto Redman during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. And as a small production vineyard with appointment only hours, they have no official tasting room. But Kathy Reman and her staff go all out with the number of wines they pour and the food they have out for visitors. We found the family and staff to be very friendly to the visitors and the wines to be very good. They pour some nice, not oakey Chards, some very nice Pinots, a Tempranillo and Barbera and a blend that we found to be very nice. Kathy Redman is very approachable and great to talk to also. The visit to Redman has always turned into a party with the food, the wine and the people there to talk to. We look forward to our next holiday to visit Redman.
