Rex Hill Description

Rex Hill Winery, founded in 1982 by Paul Hart and Jan Jacobsen, was built around an old fruit and nut drying facility and opened in 1985. The original vineyard around the winery is now all Pinot Noir except for one row of Muscat left for the sweet delight of harvest visitors. In 2007, A to Z Wineworks (the William Hatcher Family, the Francis Tannahills, and a few partners including Gregg Popovich) purchased Rex Hill Vineyards and Winery.

Great facility and nice wines

We have been to Rex Hill twice and each time was a very nice visit. The staff knew their wines and were open to our many questions. On our last trip the whole gang came down to say hi to the 3 month old puppy we had with us. The facilty is nice with a wagon wheel that has examples of the different smells and aromas you will get from the wine. They have a "cave" type space that a wedding party was looking at for their wedding or rehearsal dinner. We like their Pinots with good flavors and complexities. A great visit when tasting in Newberg.
