Nestled on the eastern side of The Eola Hills near a few of our other favorite wineries, Witness Tree with it's friendly, homespun charm is a great place to begin the day.
The vineyard takes its name from an ancient oak tree used as a surveyor's landmark in 1854, during the Oregon Trail era. The tree was used to mark the Northwest corner of the original Donation Land Claim No. 51 and stands mjestically overlooking the vineyard.
Depending upon what they are serving today, begin with the whites (Viognier and Pinot Blanc or Chardonnay) then move on to their wonderful Pinot Noir or Dolcetto.
We suggest you end your tasting with a sip of their Sweet Signe. Sweet in a good way.
